As part of the account deactivation process, please follow these steps:
- Open the Fido app
- Tap on “Profile” at the bottom right corner
- Select “Account Settings”
- Unsubscribe from marketing messages.
Once you’ve completed these steps, please contact Fido Customer Support so we can proceed with finalizing your account deactivation.
We also want to assure you that Fido takes responsible steps to protect your privacy and secure your data.
Important: This process cannot be reversed, and once deleted, you will no longer have access to the Fido app.
Alternative Option:
If you're unsure about deactivating your account permanently, you can simply uninstall the mobile application. This will be considered a termination of the license agreement to use the app.
Data Retention Policy:
As a regulated financial institution, Fido is mandated to report and retain records in compliance with the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA). Due to these regulations, we are unable to comply with user requests to delete account data.
